MY FRIENDS POST SOMETHING THEY ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT, EPISODE 2: STARTING A BUSINESS

Do you want to start a business? Have your own little side hustle? Have something you can call your own? Think it’s easy? Think again! It’s not always straightforward as it seems...

Starting a business is one of the hardest, yet most rewarding things you could do because not only do you have to build your business from bottom to top but you have to ensure that your commitment, drive and determination is always 110% and you continue to strive for growth and success. Nobody will do the work for you, you have to do it by yourself, put in the time, the effort, make sacrifices and go through hardships to come out on the other side better and stronger.

Whether you’re starting by yourself or with a partner or friends, whatever it may be, make sure you know yourself, know what you are putting yourself into. Know your goals, the direction you want this to go in, your strengths, weaknesses and skills. It takes time, it’s a process. You have to be tough and not let anything or anyone to walk over you. The one thing you can’t do is to expect money money as soon as you start. No! You may be getting near to nothing at the beginning but that’s how it is, putting in that hard work even when it comes to education, a job and etc. It will pay off and you will reap the rewards. Everything you plan, organise and think about has to be A1!

Don’t even think about jumping on the bandwagon because everybody else has a business. Do it for the right reasons. Are you doing it for wealth, fame, power or even saving the world? Have the right mindset, do you research and know your tings. This can be understood from registering your business right down to legal rights, trademarks and everything else!

Growth is one of the most important things in any type of business, it goes hand in hand as your growing to be the person you want to be as well as those who are noticing your bloom. On the other end of the stick, when it comes down to people whether it’s friends, family, acquaintances and much more support seems to be one of the most difficult things to receive. Some people will either see themselves as pushing for support and always asking for those around them to repost, share, like, read and spread the word. Whilst others will let it be like me and will strive of the growth and just sit back and see those who will share and who won’t. Lets be real. Who wants to become part of something that could possibly change things for the better? Who wishes to become part of a positive movement that they want to create? Internalise that. Going from one person to two and then the number multiplies is the best achievement you could go through, you will learn that you do not have to depend on anyone to see your business grow and get it to where you want it to be. Everything comes from within, it all starts with you!

Entrepreneurial passion. This can be defined as; when it comes down to starting a business being passionate about it will reflect in the success and it will be what you deserve at the end. The main reason for this is very simple: you will work harder and persevere more on a business you are passionate and enthusiastic about, thus be more likely to succeed at it. Usually the main difference between an entrepreneur who starts a successful business and an entrepreneur who fails is PASSION. (Which relates to anything and everything you do; having that drive and passion will lead you to triumphant rewards and successes)

Speaking from experience because i’ve been through it, you cannot get disheartened and let things get to you when it comes to failures, losses and slow growth. MOST IMPORTANTLY, not having the amount of support you would like or thought you would get is part of the process unfortunately, it’s part of growing and it’s the foundation that will allow you to become successful.

Without a doubt, starting a business is a challenge which you may know by now. A challenge that you must set your mind too. Once you go in, the best thing to do is persevere, giving up is not an option! Like I said there will be obstacles in that journey to success, but its up to you to complete it. The ball is in your court, it’s in your hands and it’s you who decides what to do with it...
