A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS THE MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP YOU CAN HAVE, EMBRACE IT EVERYDAY.
religion, religion, religion. this is a very controversial topic, so all my christians out there please sekkle down and you can be passionate with me through message with your opinions. but first lemme say just two words. first love, sigh. i have no resentment towards them to be completely honest with you, but their approach needs to be different in order to attract people to go to their church. having a conversation with god is completely fine, but there is a fine line of being too intrusive of one’s personal life as asking for your number and constantly updating you when the next service is has to stop. it is very off putting and overwhelming being bombarded with these constant messages, speaking from experience kmt. but religion shouldn’t be forced onto anyone and it’s individual personal choice if they want to devote a life to christ.
from a young age, i was brought up in a christian household due to attending a catholic primary school, catholic secondary school and catholic sixth form. so religion has always been an aspect in my life, but when the calming of the storm uni arrived my relationship with god went downhill. can anyone else relate? on top of that, being in a new environment and not having my family around was something i wasn’t prepared for and the sudden changes i had to adjust to. therefore, having god in your life is very important to deal with these drastic changes. personally, i want to strengthen my relationship with god, but does that mean i have to put an end to all the sinful things in my life like; drinking, smoking, having sex and going to clubs? does this make me a ‘luke warm’ christian? i don’t believe so, whatever your relationship with god is like it is a personal one between you and him. hence, no one else’s opinion should matter only gods’ when he judges you on judgement day.
so, if anyone out there is struggling to build a relationship with god or wish to begin a chapter with him, you can do this in your own pace no worries or my agnostic and non believers we love you regardless! ‘trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your path straight’ - proverbs 3:5-6.
moving from religion, i’ve got some exciting news regarding the topics i’m going to cover these upcoming months. very interesting and stimulating to the brain. you guys are definitely going to enjoy these wednesday posts for sure! for the month of may i will be doing astrology series, everyone knows about my obsession with astrology, haha. for the month of june i will be doing a dilemma series, as many people have told me i give great advice and would love to pass my wisdom onto other people’s situation and of course you will be anonymous. for the month of july i will be doing ‘my friend’s post something they are passionate about’ and i’ve already selected who is going to be involved in this and i’m buzzing of what each individual has to offer. they know who they are. and lastly a podcast series in the month of september with my uni friends which is going to be fun and eventful. i need a break for the month of august guys. on top of that, my monday posts will be one per month gonna keep that on the down low but of course you lot aren’t ready what i’m going to post!
